For Podcast Hosts & Journalists
Gerard is an enthusiastic, prepared, and engaging guest. Here are suggested conversation topics:
In an age of screens and shortened attention spans, Gerard makes the case for the power of a beautifully told story — why picture books remain one of the most important tools for emotional development, empathy, and imagination in early childhood.
From a single sketch on a napkin to a published book series — Gerard shares the story of how Rose came to life, and what drove him to create a character who is brave, curious, and wonderfully imperfect.
The behind-the-scenes journey of self-publishing through G. Falcone Publications — the decisions, the challenges, and the moments that made it all worth it.
Why Gerard built The Magical Ticket Series around these two specific values — and how he weaves them into narrative without being heavy-handed or preachy.
The craft of writing for young readers — the importance of read-aloud rhythm, word choice, pacing, and creating language that a child and a parent can both fall in love with.
Bouncy Bunny, Flutter Butterfly, and Singing Squirrel aren't just cute sidekicks — Gerard discusses the intentional role each companion plays in Rose's emotional journey.
What it means to Gerard to put extraordinary books in the hands of extraordinary kids — and his vision for what G. Falcone Publications becomes over the next five years.
A sneak peek at Books 2 and 3 — what Rose discovers at the Starlight Carnival, what secrets the Whispering Forest holds, and where the series is headed.
Practical ways Rose's adventures can spark conversations at home and in the classroom — discussion questions, activity ideas, and the values embedded in each story.
The single sentence Gerard hopes every young reader carries with them long after closing the book — and why that message matters to him personally.
